Steven Karamatic
Graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2007, working in small animal practice in Melbourne and the UK. He is currently the Chief Veterinarian at Greyhound Racing Victoria, working in their Greyhound Racing Integrity Unit since 2012 where he manages a team of vets that officiate at their 1300 annual race meetings, and perform other important welfare and integrity roles within the state regulatory body. Since 2014 he has chaired Greyhounds Australasia’s Veterinary & Analysts Committee which amongst its roles is to oversee research and advise their Board on technical matters of integrity and welfare, including anti-doping and medication control.
