Cynthia Cole
Dr. Cole has spent over 30 years practicing in the field of equine clinical pharmacology. A graduate of the University of Florida she holds both a DVM and PhD. After completing a Post-doctoral Fellowship and Internship she joined UC Davis as the first equine pharmacologist at the KL Maddy Equine Chemistry Laboratory. After 7 years she returned to UF and was Director of the Racing Laboratory till leaving that position to move into industry roles in Animal Health. A few years later she returned to UF first as an Adjunct Professor and later as Director of Racing Laboratory. When the laboratory closed in 2023, she remained on the faculty at UF. In 2023 and 2024 she consulted for the University of Kentucky assisting them with their Analytical Chemistry Program re-attaining accreditation from the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium.
