In 2024, ThermoFisher launched the new Stellar LCMSMS offering triple quad quantitative performance combined with fast polarity switching and ‘hyper’ fast full scan MS2 and MSn using either HCD or CID.
The potential benefits offered include increased analysis speed/throughput and improved selectivity with the options of CID and MS2/MSn potentially improving selectivity for difficult compounds. The system also offers intelligent method development and optimisation tools.
The presentation will focus on the in-house comparison of existing HRAM and LC-QQQ multi-analyte screening methods for steroids, peptides and drugs of abuse with methods developed on the Stellar looking at throughput, sensitivity and selectivity to further improve efficiencies and capabilities in the lab.
